Ajit worked at Aaj Tak as a senior producer. However, he rejoined BAG films and launched News 24 in the year 2007. Ajit left News 24 in 2014 and joined India TV as its managing editor. It was Ajit Anjum who conceptualize the shows like Red Alert, Sansani, and Pol Khol for Star News. Ajit was awarded the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award for his reporting during ravaging flood in Bihar in 2010. Ajit steered a campaign ‘Rahat like Bihar Chalo’ on News 24 which resulted in hundred truckloads of relief materials reaching to the victims.
